الاقتصاد الصيني يتراجع مع بدء الحرب التجارية الأميركية

July 16, 2019 - China's economic growth has slumped to its lowest level since 1992, as the world's second largest economy suffers from a prolonged trade war with the world’s largest economy – the United States.

China's GDP grew at 6.2% in the second quarter of 2019, the slowest quarterly growth rate since 1992 (down from 6.4% in Q1), and it will continue to face a downward trend during the rest of the year, the country's National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.

The disappointing figures arrive on top of a fall in both exports and imports for the first six months of this year, highlighting the widespread fallout of the trade war. China's exports fell 1.3% year-on-year in dollar terms, while imports dropped 7.3%.

As China suffers, others prevail – Americans are buying more supplies from Vietnam, Taiwan, Bangladesh and South Korea as they work to avoid U.S. tariffs on Chinese consumer goods.
