Airbus outshinesBoeing at Paris Air Show
June 18, 2019 - Airbus kicked off the Paris Air Show by unveiling its A321XLR -- a new long-range aircraft -- and announcing $13 billion of orders.
Boeing orders have been at a standstill since global regulators grounded the 737 Max in March. The decision to take the plane out of service followed two deadly crashes.
United Airlines placed a firm order for 20 more Embraer 175s and took options on a further 19, with deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2020.
The E175s will be configured with 70 seats and replace older aircraft in United’s feeder fleet.
