August 16, 2017 - The U.S. and its Pacific allies could intercept North Korean ballistic missiles launched in the direction of Guam, but the technology is yet to be battle-tested and experts say there is no guarantee it will work.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reviewed plans to fire missiles towards the American Pacific territory of Guam, state media said, but would watch U.S. actions before making a decision.
