Giant iceberg to break away

June 1, 2017 - A crack in the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica, which threatens to spawn one of the biggest icebergs ever seen, has grown a staggering 17km in just one week between May 25 and May 31, moving within 13km of making a clean break. The prospect of a giant iceberg afloat in Antarctica could draw further attention to the threat of climate change at a time when President Donald Trump’s is considering whether to exit the Paris climate agreement.
