July 2, 2015 - A 32-year-old surfer was critically injured by a shark on Thursday at the same Australian coastal town where a Japanese tourist was killed by a great white shark in February. There have been 23 shark attacks in the first six months of 2015, including seven in North Carolina in just three weeks. From 2010 to 2014, there were a total of 16 shark attacks in North Carolina.
