August 15, 2012 - Australia is set to re-establish offshore processing camps for asylum seekers in Papua New Guinea and Nauru. Officials say the policy – known as the Pacific Solution before it was scrapped in 2008 – is needed as a deterrent, but critics say it violates the refugees’ rights.
