June 6, 2019 - On June 6th, 1944, more than 150,000 Allied troops invaded the northern French coast, marking the start of France's liberation from Nazi occupiers. It is remembered as a defining moment of World War II.

On June 5, 2019, U.S. President Donald Trump will attend a memorial in Britain with Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister Theresa May.

On June 6th, Trump will visit Colleville-sur-Mer in Normandy to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings accompanied by French President Emmanuel Macron.
