New Queensferry Crossing to open after delays

By Mike Tyler

August 30, 2017 - The new Queensferry Crossing over the Firth of Forth is scheduled to open to road traffic after several delays. The 2.7km structure will be the longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world and also the largest to feature cables which cross mid-span. It forms part of Scotland’s east coast transport corridor and runs alongside the venerable Forth Rail Bridge and Forth Road Bridge, which will be dedicated to public transport, cycling and walking.
