Graphic News Interactive

GRAPHIC NEWS INTERACTIVE is a new service in development for websites to complement the existing Graphic News Service. The new service will offer interactive graphics of the highest quality produced to meet news deadlines at a price news media organizations can afford. Features include:
Ease of Integration: Although our interactive graphics can be inserted directly onto web pages, for your convenience we include the links and files for you to display them in a "lightbox". A lightbox is a stylish and convenient way to display interactive graphics as it keeps the original page visible underneath. The Shadowbox lightbox is available to Graphic News subscribers at no additional cost. Technical support is available for those who have not used interactive graphics before, and full installation details are included with the “Read Me” files that accompany the graphics.
Modification and translation: The graphics are packaged so that they can be played from your desktop with Flash Player (which you can download free of charge from the Adobe website). At the same time as you view the graphic, you can also edit the text by opening the linked xml file in any text editor.
For graphic artists with the relevant experience in Adobe's Flash, Flash artwork is supplied as a separate download file so designers can modify the graphics, tailor them to their own editorial requirements or use the coding to create their own interactive graphics.
...and in addition: All subscribers to Graphic News Interactive have full access to the Graphic News Service, so any of the static graphics can also be used. These are particularly suitable for websites as they are designed to stand alone, and they are now also supplied in .swf format.
