Trump’s UK trip aims to avoid protests

By Ninian Carter

July 12, 2018 - July 15, 2018 - President Donald Trump will meet Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen when he visits the UK, but largely avoid protesters in the capital.

Jul 12: May hosts Trump, Melania and business leaders at black-tie dinner at Blenheim Palace. Trumps spend night at Winfield House in London, the U.S. Ambassador’s residence

Jul 13: May and Trump witness joint UK-U.S. military training before working lunch at PM’s country residence, Chequers. President and First Lady meet Queen at Windsor Castle

Jul 14-15: Private weekend in Scotland to play golf at two Trump-owned courses

Trump’s trip is at the invitation of Theresa May and so is classed as an “official” visit, rather than a state visit hosted by the Queen.
