Giro d’Italia 2018 teams

By Mike Tyler

May 4, 2018 - May 27, 2018 - The Giro d’Italia is the first Grand Tour of the year. Competitors include 18 UCI World Tour teams plus four invited wildcard teams. Team jerseys reflect their sponsors, and can therefore vary from year to year. In addition, the leader of each classification in the race wears a specific jersey: The general leader wears the coveted pink jersey (maglia rosa), the points leader has a cyclamen jersey (maglia ciclamino), the mountain leader has a blue jersey (maglia azzura),and the youth leader has a white jersey (maglia bianca). If a rider leads more than one classification, he wears the jersey of the most prestigious classification, and the other jersey is worn by the rider who is second in that competition.
