November 26, 1942: The legendary wartime romance Casablanca opened in New York. It went on to win three Oscars and ranks consistently as one of the greatest films ever made

November 27, 1893: A general election was held in New Zealand, the first in the world in which women were allowed to vote. Women’s suffrage was granted after a 20-year campaign

November 28, 2016: All but three members of Brazil’s Chapecoense football team died in a plane crash in Colombia while en route to play in the Copa Sudamericana final

November 29, 1972: Pong, the first commercially successful video game, was launched by Atari. It was based on table tennis and featured simple two-dimensional graphics
