The revolutionary iPhone X
September 12, 2017 - Ten years on from the release of Apple’s seminal iPhone, the American tech giant has unveiled its latest update — the iPhone X.
As widely expected, the high-end phone has an “edge-to-edge” screen and dispenses with the traditional home button.
The iPhone X (pronounced “ten” rather than X) uses a facial recognition system to identify its owner rather than a fingerprint-based one.
It is Apple’s most expensive phone to date. When it goes on sale on November 3 buyers will have to part with $999 for a 64 gigabyte capacity model, while the 256GB version will be priced at $1,149.
The iPhone X was unveiled in the Steve Jobs Theater at the firm’s new state of the art 70-hectare Apple Park facility in Cupertino, California.
