Apple testing iPhone 3D face scanner

By Ninian Carter

September 12, 2017 - Apple has invited the Media to Apple Park and is expected to announce the release its iPhone 8, and updated iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Apple is strongly rumoured to be ditching the home button, including its Touch ID fingerprint sensor, in favour of an improved security system that will scan a user’s face.

Ten years ago thousands of customers lined up at Apple stores across the United States to be among the first to purchase the first Apple iPhone. The iPhone 8 will be a harder sell unless Apple can outdo itself.
