FAQ: How do I know if a graphic is available as a responsive, interactive..?

Graphics produced in Adobe Illustrator can either be traditional static “print” graphics or screen graphics, and these share the same GN number. Alternatively there are interactives
  • Icons are used to indicate the type of graphics are available:
Enlarge icon - Traditional static graphic
    Video icon - Interactive
Dual-Screen icon - Responsive created in Adobe Illustrator

  • GN Go at http://www.graphicnews.com/go only displays responsive graphics. Although this site is designed for people using mobile devices, if responsives are viewed on a laptop, if the screen width is gradually reduced, the design will change to display the tablet and mobile versions of the graphic.

  • GN Graphic News at http://www.graphicnews.com shows print graphics and interactives. Icons indicate when a print graphic is also available as a screen graphic, and whether a graphic is available as an interactive.

Welcome to Graphic News

Please get in the habit of logging in when you arrive as we will be restricting the number of pages viewable to unregistered users

The website is undergoing the first part of an upgrade, so please let us know if you encounter problems. When responsive graphics are available, there is now a button to show how they adapt to screen size. There are improved indexing and information pages and also an auto translate facility for our foreign readers. We have also incorporated GN NewsAhead and the GN On This Day anniversaries database.
