Definition: Graphics

In the context of the Graphic News User Terms for Publishers the term Graphic is defined as the graphics as supplied, the elements, words and coding used in their construction and with which they are associated, all rearrangements, modifications, or translations made of these regardless of the form or media in or on which the graphics are supplied, or stored or copied to.

Graphics are defined in this way so that Publishers may modify graphics, translate or edit the words, or use graphic elements in their own graphics without this compromising Graphic N ws’ copyright.

Publishers may therefore use the words from the Graphic News website giving the context and caption for each Graphic. They may also use any story associated with a Graphic, provided this is not credited to an different agency.
